by Jim and Lynda Guidry

"Great turnout," noted BAHEP President Bob Mitchell. "A cross section from members to elected officials."

Mitchell said 2009 was a great year for BAHEP.
"We were concerned going into the year with the sluggish economy and concerned about membership," he recalled. "But this year we were able to contain our attrition at seven percent, which is the same thing its been since 2006,"
Mitchell said that successes during the year include the addition of four new companies "that equated to about $25 million in capital investment."
He said 2010 promises to be a good year also.
"We think the first six months are going to be slow, but we think after that it is going to pick up," Mitchell said. "We are going to be out there beating the bushes and doing what we do best."
