New Years 5K Run Through Nature
January 2, 2010 at the Galveston Island State Park

GALVESTON, Texas – Shed those holiday pounds at the Galveston Island State Park’s New Years 5K fun run, Saturday January 2, 2010 at 8 a.m.

Funded by the Friends of Galveston Island State Park the fun run has a $20 participation fee and T-shirts and tote bags will be provided. Runners begin at 8 a.m. sharp and walkers start at 8:45 a.m.

The route will begin at the East parking area of the state park at 13 Mile Rd. and Stewart Rd. Then the run will wind through the nature trails on the bay side of the park returning to the East parking area.
