AMOCO brought 40,000 lbs of SNOW and tons of fun to Tuscan Lakes
LEAGUE CITY, Texas – AMOCO Federal Credit Union dropped 40,000 pounds of snow to their Tuscan Lakes Branch, Dec. 5. The Tuscan Lakes branch is located at 1692 E. League City Parkway.
AMOCO FCU had 40,000 pounds of fresh snow; along with hot cocoa, cookies, crafts and holiday music. Over 1000 adults and children from the local community came out to experience the Tuscan Lakes Snow Zone. Adults and children alike had a great time playing in the snow, building snowmen and having full blown snow ball fights. Kids also had a chance to meet and take a photo with the big man himself – Santa Claus. Santa made his appearance at 8:30am as he drove up in a red Corvette and stayed until every youngster had a chance to meet him.
U.S. Marines based in Galveston joined AMOCO employees at the Tuscan Lakes Snow Zone where they collected over 200 toys and $250 in donations for Toys for Tots. Toys can still be dropped off at any AMOCO location up until Dec. 16. Toys donated are to be new unwrapped toys for kids of all ages. For more information on Toys for Tots please visit http://galveston-tx.toysfortots.org.
Snow Day was open to the community where parking was available at LA Fitness with shuttle service provided by Norman Frede Chevrolet. AMOCO would like to give a special thank you to everyone who made Snow Day such a great success.
