David Terry Mayville, Sr., 68, of Galveston, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2009, at his residence.
David’s family will receive visitors from 5:00 until 7:00 pm, Wednesday, December 16th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be 1:00 pm, Thursday, December 17th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home with burial to follow at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock.
David was born July 4, 1941, in Galveston, Texas. He graduated from Ball High School and retired from American National Insurance Company. David could often be found riding his bike on the seawall. He was also a horse lover, an avid gun collector, and was fascinated with hot rods.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Margaret Mayville.
He is survived by his sons, David Aaron Mayville and wife, Cindi, of League City; and David Terry Mayville, Jr. and wife, Jennifer, of La Marque; brothers, Francis (Butch) Mayville and wife, Penny, of The Woodlands; Ronald Mayville and wife, Marilyn, of Rye; and Donald Mayville and wife, Reagan, of La Marque; step-sister, Carolyn Luchsinger, of Friendswood; grandchildren: Brian Mayville, Brandon Mayville, Skyler Mayville, Paige Mayville, Kaitlyn Holcombe, and Trevor Luther; nieces, Lori Khurt and Kristen Mayville; and nephew, James Mayville.
Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Orange and Bill Biggs.
