The breakfast was open to the public and toys were given to the children and families in attendance. Families who were helped through a food drive hosted by the ACC Church of Christ Student Fellowship organization and Alvin Elementary were also invited to attend.

Davis, who is an Alvin Elementary teacher and Alvin Church of Christ member, coordinated the Breakfast with Santa event and a food drive in honor of Garcia’s wife, Shellie, who passed away during the summer from cancer. The Alvin Elementary food drive was held in conjunction with the annual ACC Can Feed the Hungry food drive, which is sponsored by the Church of Christ Student Fellowship organization at ACC. Garcia’s wife was a teacher at Alvin Elementary.
