Geraldine "Geri" Scott

Geraldine "Geri" ScottGeraldine "Geri" Scott went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Mainland Medical Center. 

Geraldine was born in Galveston, TX on September 21, 1932 to Paul and Catherine Shiloh. She attended Galveston public schools and was a proud graduate of Central High School. She went on to attended Texas Southern University, where she majored in education. Geraldine was an educator with the Galveston Independent School District for 25 years. She united with Progressive Missionary Baptist Church in Galveston, where she was a faithful member, and also was a member of the Grand Court Order of Calanthe. 

Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, brother, James Shiloh; and the love of her life, Bernice "Shorty" Scott. 

Left to cherish very fond memories is her son, Rickey Scott; a devoted daughter-in-law, Jacqueline; the center of joy, her only grandson, Garrick; sister, Norma J. Carter of California; and one niece, Debra Shiloh of League City, TX, and a host of other, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will begin at 10 AM on Monday, December 21th followed by a service celebrating her life at 12 Noon, both at the Avenue L Baptist Church(2612 Ave. L), Rev. E. R. Johnson, Pastor and her pastor, Rev. W. E. Stevens officiating. She will be laid to rest in Grace Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock, Texas
