Virginia Teran Melghem, 85, of Galveston, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2009, at her residence.
Her family will receive visitors beginning at 10:00 am, Saturday, January 2nd, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
Virginia was born August 21, 1924, in Santa Maria, Texas. She was loving and devoted to God and her family. She was a friend to all and was always there to lend a hand to anyone in need. She loved music, dancing, westerns and bingo. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Guadalupe and Hilaria Teran; sister, Altagracia Bueno; and brother, Guadalupe Teran.
She is survived by her daughters, Maria Gleason and husband, Louis; Miriam Davis and husband, James; and Lillian Pepin and husband, Albert; sons, Oscar J. Melghem, Jr. and wife, J.C.; Mario Melghem; Paul Melghem; and Milton Melghem; grandchildren: Oscar J. Melghem, III; Amy Melghem; Yvette McKee; George Vaughn; David Vaughn; April Suayan; Leticia Garcia; Ronald J. Williams; Ernest A. Williams; Christopher J. Rios; and Brandee N. Rios; 23 great grandchildren; special friends, Florenda Selvea and Hazel Oliver; and numerous other relatives and friends.
