Patricia Ann MurphyPatricia Ann Murphy age 63, of Livingston former longtime resident of Galveston  died Thursday, December 31, 2009 at Pine Ridge Health Care Center in Livingston. Funeral services are 11:00am Thursday, January 14, 2010 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in Galveston.

Patricia was born March 7, 1946 in Galveston, Texas to Rufus Hilton Young and Ena Irene Carter Young. She was a graduate of Ball High School and was a professional artist. “Art from the Heart” was her own art studio in Galveston. She was honored in the Notable Women of Texas for her art work and received numerous invitations to travel to Europe with her art.

Preceded in death by her parents and two daughters Patricia Irene and Margaret Louise Murphy, survivors include her husband Patrick L. Murphy; son, Patrick H. Murphy and wife Carolyn; daughter, Bettie A. Lambert and husband Alan; sister, Shirley J. Young; grandchildren, Nicholas and Patrick Murphy, Jerry, Heather and Ashley Barnes, Brandon and Chelsea Redmon; nephew, Christopher J. Young; niece, Sonia Gamache and numerous other nieces and nephews.
