40th Anniversary Open House
GALVESTON, Texas – The Gulf Coast Center MHMR will be hosting an Open House at two facilities celebrating 40 years of community service in Galveston and Brazoria Counties. The public is invited to visit an Open House at the Galveston Co. Community Service Center, 7510 FM 1765, Texas City, Friday, February 5, 2 – 4 PM and at the Brazoria Co. Community Service Center, 101 Tigner Street, Angleton, Saturday, February 12, 2 – 4 PM. The events are free to the public.
The mental health authority for Galveston and Brazoria Counties since 1969, the Gulf Coast Center encourages the public to meet the dedicated staff and tour the facilities to learn more about the many programs and services offered.
The Open House events will spotlight Mental Health Adult, Child and Adolescent Services as well as Mental Retardation, Substance Use Recovery and Crisis Response Services. In addition, visitors will learn how convenient Connect Transit is in transporting clients for Consumer Benefits and Medication Support Services.
The board of directors and staff encourage social service agencies, school districts, faith-based organizations, probation departments, local law enforcement, APS/CPS and Gulf Coast consumers and families to attend. There is no fee to attend and parking is free.
