Bonnye F. Locke
Malloy & Son Funeral Home

Bonnye Faye Locke, 70, of Galveston, passed away peacefully after a battle with lung cancer on Sunday, January 31, 2010, in Coldspring, TX.

Her family will receive visitors after 9:00 am, Thursday, February 4th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Thursday at First Lutheran Church with Rev. Doug Guthier officiating. Burial will follow at Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock.

Bonnye was born August 22, 1939, in Arcadia, Texas. She went to work right out of high school for James Brady, an attorney in Galveston, for whom she worked for many years. Bonnye enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of First Lutheran Church.

Bonnye was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Locke; and three brothers: Dwight, Glenn, and B.W. McCarty.

She is survived by her son, Robert Locke; daughter, Krystal Locke; sister, Maxine Marshall and husband, Sam; brother, Dan McCarty; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends in the Galveston area.

Bonnye’s family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Hospice Care of the Southwest for their compassion and care of Bonnye during her illness.
