GALVESTON - Carolyn Ruth Collins, 55 entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 1, 2010, at her residence.

Carolyn was born September 9, 1954, in Beaumont, TX to Frank, Sr. and Myrtle Gims Romas. She was educated in the Beaumont and Galveston School districts, graduating with the Ball High School class of 1973. She was C.N.A. and owner of a day care center. She was also former member of First Union Baptist Church and most recently served at the Iconium Baptist Church of Beaumont.

She was preceded in death by her father; brother, Clarence Romas and sister, Easter Thomas.

She leaves with precious memories her children, Larry Collins, Jermain Collins, Shermain Collins, and Joseph Collins; her mother, Myrtle Gims Gaston; brother, Frank Romas, Jr.; sisters, Emma Reed (Nary), Cindy Glenn and Debra Durham; four grandchildren; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will begin at 12 noon on Saturday, February 6, 2010, followed by a service celebrating her life at 2:00 P.M.at the Avenue L Baptist Church Rev. E. R. Johnson Pastor, Rev. John Parker eulogist. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
