Ailmae was born January 12, 1933, in Elton, LA to Eleanor and Israel Martin, Sr.. She was retired from Pilgrim Cleaners and was a faithful member of the Progressive church until her health failed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and three sisters. Left with precious memories are her son, Rogers Martin, Jr.(Angela); stepson, Michael O' Neil; stepdaughter, Regina Stevens; sister, Eleanor Ferguson; grandchildren, Rogetta (James), Rogers, Jr.; Karen and Kenneth; eight great grandchildren; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will begin today at 4PM followed by a wake from 7-8 PM at Fields-Johnson Family Mortuary. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 27, 2010, at Progressive Baptist Church in Texas City with Pastor Jonathan Steele officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery
