GALVESTON - Recian Lockwood Mack passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2010. She was the youngest child of Aurelia and Reidie Mack, Jr., born on March 18, 1954, in Galveston, TX.
Recian was a Galveston BOI and was educated in the Galveston School District. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Jerusalem Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Aurelia and Reidie "Daddy-O" Mack, Jr.; brother, Rebert Mack and grandparents.
Recian was a devoted caregiver for her grandmother, aunt, mother and her brother, Sam until her death. She loved to cook, often sharing meals with friends and neighbors. She enjoyed riding her bicycle and will be remembered for riding or walking through the neighborhood. She got a great joy and had a lot of fun spending time with her great nieces and nephews.
Lock will be deeply missed but never forgotten by sisters, Reola Mack of Houston, Rita Richardson (Royal); brother, Reidie 'Sam" Mack, III; aunts, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Friday, March 5th, followed by a wake from 7-8 p.m.. A service celebrating her life will held Saturday, March 6, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Fields-Johnson Family Mortuary with Rev Charles E. Wheat officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
