Bessie Mae Foreman, 60, departed this life February, 26, 2010, at UTMB Hospital. Bessie was born March 12, 1949, in Alexander, LA, to Roy, Jr. and Margie Britton Holmes. She was a retired housekeeper and enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, cooking and listening to gospel music.
Preceding her in death were her parents; son, Joe Anthony Foreman; brothers, Roy III and Donald Ray Holmes; sisters, Polly Bean and Margie Lee Mendoza.
She is survived by her brothers, Johnny M. Holmes, Timothy C. Austin; sisters, Frozine Henderson and Beverly Brooks; special friend, Jimmie Lee Baker; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will begin 12 Noon Saturday, March 6, 2010, followed by a service celebrating her life at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Fields-Johnson Family Mortuary with Rev. Charles Alexander officiating.
