Pearland City Council on Monday voted unanimously to direct the city's staff to prepare service plans for the proposed annexation of certain areas located in the city's extraterritorial jurisdiction.

The city council voted unanimously to authorize Brazoria County Municipal Utility District No. 6 to issue $2.55 million in unlimited tax refunding bonds.

The city council voted unanimously to approve a resolution authorizing a grade crossing construction and maintenance agreement with the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad Company.

The city council voted to approve the second and final reading of an ordinance amending the city's regulations regarding false alarms to provide for fines for excessive false alarms.
