PORT FREEPORT’S 10th ANNUAL TAKE-A-CHILD FISHING TOURNAMENT
RECEIVES $2,000 FROM FREEPORT LNG 

From left, Port Freeport Managing Director Phyllis Saathoff and Freeport LNG Human Resources Manager Wendy Mazurkiewicz.FREEPORT, Texas – Freeport LNG donated $2,000 to be a sponsor of Port Freeport’s 10th Annual Take-A-Child Fishing Tournament.  The Freeport LNG terminal, located on the Port’s Quintana Island property, has been a loyal supporter of the tournament for the past seven years.

“The continued success of this event could not be possible without our many volunteers and generous sponsors such as Freeport LNG who has been a Platinum sponsor for the last three years,” Port Freeport Managing Director Phyllis Saathoff said. 

The 10th Annual Take-A-Child Fishing Tournament will be held on May 8th at the Freeport Municipal Park.  The entry fee will be one canned food item, which will be donated to the Brazoria County Youth Home. Registration for the tournament begins at 8:00 a.m. under the covered pavilion.  Only children ages 3-14 will be eligible to participate in the tournament.

Prizes will be awarded in two categories: Blue Fins, 3-8 years old, and Yellow Fins, 9-14 years old.  First prize is a Dell laptop, second prize is a $200 Visa Gift Card and the third place winner in each category will receive a $100 Visa Gift Card.  For more information, please visit www.portfreeport.com/tacft
