Josephine M. Warner
Malloy & Son Funeral Home

Josephine M. Warner, 98, of Galveston, passed away Monday, March 22, 2010, at her residence.

Born in Galveston, Texas on April 19, 1911, Josephine was a graduate of Ball High School and received BA and MA degrees from Texas Women's University and the University of Texas.  Josephine worked for many years as a teacher in the Galveston Independent School District.

She was preceded in death by parents, James F. Warner, Sr. and Victoria Warner; brother, James F. Warner, Jr. and nieces, Ann Rachal, Frances Claire Warner and Marlene Chaney.   Survivors include her sister-in-law Aliene Warner of Bryan, great nieces and nephews and other relatives; and also a devoted special friend Constance B. O'Rourke.

Josephine’s family will receive visitors at 10:00 am, Wednesday, March 24th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 11:00 am at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Andrew Swan, Tom Swan, John F. O'Rourke and E. L. Ted O'Rourke.  Honorary pallbearers include William E. Leopold and Barry J. Negrotto.
