The Galveston Housing Authority (GHA) will break ground on the Oaks Housing Development Phase III on April 15, 2010. The GHA will host the event which marks a very positive step to provide affordable home ownership opportunities for Galveston citizens. Those set to attend include Housing and Urban Development (HUD) representatives, including HUD Assistant Secretary Raphael Bostic. Once it is constructed, the Oaks Phase III will consist of seven quality, affordable houses. It is anticipated the development will be completed November 2010.

The GHA is committed to pursuing new and creative ways to meet the changing housing needs of the diverse population of the City of Galveston.
