Ollie Elizabeth Freeman
Fields-Johnson Family Mortuary

Ollie Elizabeth FreemanOllie Elizabeth Freeman departed this life on Sunday May 2, 2010 at her residence.

Ollie was born March 12, 1940, to the late Rufus and Sarah Dornes in Galveston.  She accepted Christ at an early age, and was baptized at Live Oak Baptist Church. She attended Carver Elementary, and graduated from Central High School.  She was employed at John Sealy Hospital, and retired after 40 years of dedicated service. Ollie was devoted to her family and her job. 

Ollie was preceded in death by her parents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.  She leaves to cherish the many memories of her life, devoted husband of 47 years, Felton Freeman; children, Sarah Jones and Felton Freeman, Jr.; grandchildren; brother, Sam Garner; sisters, Faye Evans, Martha Bogan, and Hazel Jones; best friends, Irma, Hazel, Georgia, Margie, Margaret;  a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on today, May 10th at Fields-Johnson Family Mortuary.  A service to celebrate the life of Ollie will be held  at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at Live Oaks Baptist  Church with Pastor V.L. Baines, officiating.  Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
