T. Bertha Murray, 83, passed away from this life to the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on May 4, 2010, at Mainland Medical Center in Texas City.
T. Bertha was born in Needville, Texas to the late Johnny and Dora Ann Murray. A longtime resident of Galveston, she was a member of Market Street Baptist Church. She was also employed as a C.N.A. at John Sealy Hospital, and she retired after many years of dedicated service.
T. Bertha was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Rayfield Curry, Douglas Curry, Joe Andrew Murray; daughter, Gloria Ruth Charles Alexander.
She leaves to cherish the memories of her life, sons, Gastonia Waddy, Jr., Eligha Curry, Rudy W. Curry (Linda), Willie L. Turner, Leonard E. Turner (Debra), George L. Turner; daughters, Janice M. Edwards (Robert, Sr.), Julia Tackwood (James); 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren; brother, John Loving (Shirley); sister, Jo Ann Loving; daughters-in-law, Faye Curry, Sharon Glass, and a host of nieces nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. followed by a wake from 7-8 p.m. on Friday, May 14, 2010. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. T. Bertha we be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 15, 2010 at Fields-Johnson Family Mortuary, with Rev. B.J. Hunter officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
