Bolivar Blueprint plan presented and resources rounded up Saturday, May 8th. A beautiful beach bash where the High Island ISD Cheerleading Squad chanted guests upon entrance; the recovery projects exhibited; federal, state and county agencies shared information and discussion with project champions and public guests, BBQ dinner served by Brint Construction and special presentations made.
Galveston County Commissioner Patrick F. Doyle, Precinct 1 presented a supporting announcement for the establishment of Peninsula Development Coalition, non-profit organization to help implement Bolivar Blueprint projects and foster the economic and social recovery of the Peninsula.
On behalf of Galveston County Judge James Yarbrough, special thanks was delivered to all involved in the long-term community recovery plan from Director of Blueprint, Careen Plummer and FEMA ESF #14 to each Steering Committee Chair, member and project champion.
The Texas State flag that flew over the capital on May 5, 2010 in honor of Bolivar Peninsula recovery efforts was delivered by State Representative Craig Eiland’s office.
