Pearland City Council on Monday voted unanimously to award a $3.082 million bid to Crossroads Industries, Inc. for construction services related to the Town Ditch Project.
The bid was for the third phase of the project. Crossroads Industries submitted the lowest of eight bids made for the project.
"The project will entail the expansion and realignment of the ditch to provide increased capacity in the drainage conveyance system west of State Highway 35," Project Director Trent Epperson said.
The city council voted unanimously to approve a $79,977 contract with Geotest Engineering, Inc. for construction materials testing for the Town Ditch Project.
The city council voted unanimously to authorize the purchase of $540,470 in furniture, fixtures, and equipment for the recreation center and natatorium. The current move-in date for the new facility is scheduled for the end of July.
The city council voted unanimously to adopt goals discussed during the city's 2010 Annual Planning Workshop.
