Jorge Alberto HernandezJorge Alberto Hernandez age 39 of Galveston died Friday, May 21, 2010 at John Sealy Hospital in Galveston. Funeral Mass is 12:00 noon Monday, May 24, 2010 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Father E.J. Stein, OFM celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Galveston under the direction of Carnes Brothers Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 5:00pm until 8:00pm Sunday at the funeral home where a rosary will be recited at 6:30pm.

Born September 7, 1970 in San Miguel, El Salvador, Jorge was a carpenter by trade and formerly a member of Reina de la Paz Catholic Church, now Holy Family Parish.

Survivors include padres, Daniel Hernandez and Gregoria Gutierrez, hermanas, Rosa Garcia, Petra Garcia, Virginia Benitez and Rosalina Gutierrez; hermanos, Roberto Gutierrez, Daniel Gutierrez, and Nelson Gutierrez; sobrinos; Nohemi Garcia, Balmoris Garcia, Ewilfredo Garcia, Marvin Garcia, Javier Benitez, Geovanni Benitez, Roberto Gutierrez, Yesenia Gutierrez, Sophia Gutierrez, Rosa I. Pineda, and Kevin Pineda.

Pallbearers are friends and family.
