Thursday, June 17, 2010 - Fort Bend County Juneteenth Festival - Storytelling Under the Big Tree

M. Waddy-Thibodeaux of Flying Geese Productions, International Performing Artist/Professional Storyteller, will provide storytelling for hundreds of youths attending.  "Moments in History" will present stories out of the history books, some of which are not presented in school classrooms.  Beginning at 9 a.m until noon.

Friday, June 18, 2010 - Juneteenth Celebration for Conoco/Phillips – N. Dairy Ashford location in Houston, TX for employees and the community.

Saturday, June 19, 2010 - Downtown Port Arthur presents "The Resurrection of Harriet Tubman on the Underground Railroad" by M. Waddy-Thibodeaux of Flying Geese Productions.  The City of Port Arthur will celebrate "Juneteenth" with various acts and activities for the entire family.  Time of performances:  9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Saturday, June 19, 2010 – Mr. Sam Collins and Family at Stringfellow Orchards in Hitchcock, TX will hold its annual Juneteenth Celebration on the historical grounds with lots of activities, performances, speakers, music, food and fun.  You won't want to miss this year's presentation by International Historical Reenactor and Storyteller, M. Waddy-Thibodeaux of Flying Geese Productions.  This year she will present an exclusive performance entitled, "The Life of Lavinia Bell", a story of the strong determination of a female slave in Texas who escaped to Canada.

Saturday, June 26, 2010 - Brazos Valley Museum proudly presents M. Waddy-Thibodeaux's, "The Resurrection of Harriet Tubman for Literacy" for their Civil War Exhibit which will be available for viewing throughout the summer.  This performance has been presented throughout the U.S., Germany, Belize, C.A., and Honolulu, HI and continues to capture audiences during her riveting portrayal of one of America's most heard of Conductors on the Underground Railroad.  Time of performance is 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
