PORT FREEPORT ANNOUNCES THE WINNERS OF THE
10th ANNUAL TAKE-A-CHILD FISHING TOURNAMENT 

FREEPORT, TX (June 4, 2010) - Port Freeport was proud to host its 10th Annual Take-A-Child Fishing Tournament (TACFT) May 8th at the Freeport Municipal Park.  There were 272 registered anglers with their families from communities in Brazoria County and beyond generating more than 1,000 people in attendance.  The Brazoria County Coastal Conservation Association weighed a total of 600 fish presented to them by the young anglers.  Port Freeport would like to thank everyone who attended and congratulate this year’s winners:

Blue Fins Category (Ages 3-8)  First Place Winner Katelynn Dirzanowski; Second Place Winner Madison Varga and Third Place Winner Mallory Varga.

Yellow Fins Category (Ages 9-14)  First Place Winner Jessica Swanson; Second Place Winner Breanna Dirzanowski and Third Place Winner Trace Hensley.
