UTMB Radiology Imaging Center now open in Pearland

GALVESTON, Texas — The Radiology Imaging Center in Pearland, a new facility of the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, located at 1635 Broadway St. (FM 518), will host an open house from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 10.

The new imaging center offers convenient and comprehensive outpatient imaging with an experienced radiologist on site, same-day availability and reports available within 24 hours. The center uses the latest imaging equipment, including 1.5T open magnetic resonance imaging, 64-slice computed tomography, digital mammography, bone density and ultrasound.

Radiology services include pediatric, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, abdominal/body, breast and neuroradiology.

“An on-site radiologist is a great resource for patients and clinicians,” said Alejandro Rojas-Sosa, UTMB administrator for radiology and radiation oncology. “It’s a great convenience for the patient and clinician in the case of any significant issue or finding.”

UTMB’s department of radiology is accredited by the American College of Radiology in magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography, and ultrasound.

The center complements the recently opened radiology imaging center at Victory Lakes in League City, offering patients more convenience.
