Born July 28, 1945, Betty Jo is preceded in death by her father, Jessie James Wilson; step father Ross Evans; her son, Daryl Latimer and brother, Limos Gillians. 

She leaves to cherish with memories, her mother, Elsie Little; daughter, Margie "Marie" Evans; sisters, Bobbie Jean Salters, Esther Green, Beatrice Hill, Lydia Hill; brother, Pierce Hill; six grandchildren, Kennetta Evans, Kenneth Gordon, Michael Osberry, Nyrissa Osberry, Wilson Simmons Jr., Isaac Latimer; three great grandchildren, Raven Lee, Kennis Gordon, Lydia Fontenot; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2010, followed by a service to celebrate the life of Betty Jo at 11:00 a.m., at Fields-Johnson Family Mortuary (3828 Ave O).  Burial will follow at Mainland Memorial Cemetery in Hitchcock.
