July 4th, 2010 Concert
The Symphony of Southeast Texas proudly joins the City of Beaumont again this year for its annual Fourth of July Celebration Concert. The orchestra will play inside the Julie Rogers Theatre at 8:00 pm on the 4th. Chelsea Tipton, II, the orchestra’s new Music Director, will lead the group in old American standards, light classical works, and patriotic favorites. Selections will include 76 Trombones, Rossini’s William Tell Overture, the theme from “Raiders of the Lost Ark”, and the ever popular Armed Forces Salute. The concert, sponsored by ExxonMobil, HEB, Marine Fueling, and the Symphony League of Beaumont is free and open to the public.
This performance begins the 2010-2011 concert season for the Symphony of Southeast Texas. Chelsea Tipton, II, the orchestra’s new Music Director continues the excitement from his first season beginning on September 25.
