UH HBRC Presents Hurricane Preparedness for Your Business

Houston - The University of Houston’s Hurricane Business Recovery Center (HBRC), in partnership with the Pearland Chamber of Commerce, will present a talk on preparing your business to survive the impact of a hurricane on Wednesday, June 30, at the Pearland Commerce Center, 6117 Broadway, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

“There is a great deal of information available about preparing your household to survive a storm, but not a lot of awareness about protecting your business in the event of a disaster. We are encouraging entrepreneurs to take the necessary steps to make their businesses resilient enough to come back after any kind of business interruption,” explained James B. Evans, Director of the Hurricane Business Recovery Center.

For more information about the June 30th presentation, or to register, call 281-485-3634. To find out more about the HBRC, a specialty center of the UH Small Business Development Center Network, call 1-877-660-7826.
