City Continues Tradition with July Fourth Celebration
Beaumont, Texas – The city’s Fourth of July Celebration will offer a rollicking salute to our nation's past with live performances in Riverfront Park, patriotic favorites at the Julie Rogers Theatre, and a breathtaking fireworks display over the Neches River.
Park gates open at 5 p.m., and fireworks begin at 9 p.m. Admission to all events and performances is free, and food and beverage booths will be set up in the park.
Festivities begin in Riverfront Park at 5:15 p.m. with a performance by Regina Richards, followed by Ashlynn Ivy at 6:15 p.m. and Lil’ Brian & The Travelers at 7:30 p.m. Boy Scout Troop 85 with St. Anne’s Catholic School will provide the color guard at around 7:15 and the Ground Rush Skydiving Club will hold a skydiving demonstration at around 7:20 p.m. Master of Ceremonies for the evening will be Beaumont Mayor Becky Ames.
The Symphony of Southeast Texas proudly joins the celebration again this year with a performance at the Julie Rogers Theatre beginning at 8 p.m. The orchestra's new Music Director, Chelsea Tipton, II, will lead the group in old American standards, light classical works, and patriotic favorites, including the Armed Forces Salute. The concert, sponsored by ExxonMobil and HEB, is free and open to the public.
The evening will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display accompanied by patriotic music at 9 p.m. This is always a sensational panoramic display, as the pyrotechnics are reflected in the waters of the Neches River.
Free parking is available at the following locations: Beaumont City Hall, Beaumont Civic Center, the Main Library, and throughout downtown.
