Galveston photographer Robert Mihovil has provided some photos of the
Fourth of July fireworks display in Galveston.

There was a very large crowd on Seawall Blvd., on the beach and on the rock groins attending the fireworks display in Galveston.
The fireworks began a little later than the advertised 9 p.m. starting time, fortunately for those Galvestonians and visitors that were still trying to find a good vantage point.
Folks parked their cars into the neighborhoods as far away as Avenue P for the fireworks.
Also, the Seawall was lined with cars for the show all the way to 89th Street.
The weather was perfect.
The fireworks show was excellent, especially the big finale.
That was the general consensus by most folks as they departed the area.
"The fireworks were the best that I have seen this city have... ever" said Galveston resident Carl Schutz.
