Mildred Ruth Mantzel

Mildred Ruth MantzelMildred Ruth Mantzel went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Gracious Living in Dickinson, Texas. She was born in Galveston, Texas on April 29, 1922 to Charles Howard, Sr. and Edith Katherine Heuman.

Mildred is survived by her sister Ethel Mais, sister and brother-in-law, Gert and Al Kirschner; brother and sister-in-law Howard, Jr. and Jenna Heuman and brother, Billy Heuman; granddaughter, Lisa Meyer and husband Danny; grandson, Bobby Stockfleth and wife Laurie, grandson, Bruce Mantzel, grandson, Randy Stockfleth and wife Denise; granddaughter, Leslie Mantzel Blacketer and granddaughter, Shannon McLaren and husband Mickey. 20 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Edith Cannon and Lillian Duncanson; her husband, Henry Bruce Mantzel, Sr.; her son Henry Bruce Mantzel, Jr.; and her daughter Barbara Stockfleth.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 3 P.M. with a Memorial Service to follow at 4 P.M. at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in Galveston with Pastor Steve O’Donohoe officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Compassionate Care Hospice, 309 FM 517 Rd E, Dickinson, Texas 77539.
