Carnes Brothers Funeral Home

James ThomsonJames Thomson age 56 of Galveston died Saturday, June 26, 2010 at The Abu Dhabi Medical Center in Abu Dhabi City, UAE. Funeral services are 10:00 am Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in Galveston, the Reverend David Kim officiating. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

James was born April 5, 1954 in Glasgow, Scotland. He was employed in the Petro Chemical Industry as a pipe design engineer and was working in Abu Dhabi for AMEC at the time of his death. He and his wife attend church at the Korean Christian Church in Houston.

Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Chong S. C. Thomson of Galveston; step son, Yun Sok Song and wife Soonmi Song , a grandson, Daniel Song all of Los Angeles; step daughter, Su Yon Song of Raleigh, N.C.; and a brother, Ian Thomson of the United Kingdom.
