Ramona Guzman passed from this life Friday July 16, 2010. She moves to the heavens with our Lord and family who wait for her.
Funeral services will be held 10 AM Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at St. Patrick Catholic church in Galveston with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery in Galveston. Visitation will be from 5 PM to 8 PM Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home and a Rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM also on Tuesday.
She was horn in San Antonio, TX. A resident of Galveston for 44 yrs. Retiring from (J.T.M.B.
She is preceded in death by her husband Joe H. Guzman of 50 years marriage. Parents, Isabel and Lorenzo Guzman. Brothers and sisters, Pete, Lorenzo Jr., Jacob, Minerva, Patricia, Angelita, Delia and Herminia.
Survivors include Sisters Aurora Gatlin, Alicia Silva. Daughters, Elizabeth and husband Leo Gonzalez, Belinda Jo Guzman, and son Alan Rojas Sr. and grandchildren Margo and husband Bruce Loyd, Alan Jr. and wife Ramona Rojas, John Alexander, Angela and husband Richard Sedgwick, David, Steven, and Candice Zamora. Great grandchildren Brett. Ein, Nicolas, Brooke, Jennifer, Nicholas, Kora, David, Lexi, Isbela, Reese, Veronica, Rickey, Dejia, Mia Ramona, Joe, Jadan
She attended High school in San Antonio, Texas. where she finished with honors. She received an Associates Degree in Business with honors from Galveston College. Was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa club. Retired from U.T.M.B. after twentyfive years of service, where she leaves behind two books at (J.T.M.B. Library dedicated in her honor.
