HOUSTON — University of Houston-Clear Lake invites all to the University of Houston-Clear Lake Pearland Campus Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting on Saturday, Aug. 14, 9:30 – 11:30 a.m., at the new campus, 1200 Pearland Parkway, Pearland.
During the event on Aug. 14, UH-Clear Lake President William A. Staples, City of Pearland Mayor Tom Reid and Pearland Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors Vice President Charles D. Gooden Jr. will speak.
Live music at the event will be provided by local band Modulation, while guests will also enjoy refreshments, self-guided tours, meeting with administrators, faculty and staff, and much more.
Representatives from the Office of Enrollment Services will be available for those seeking to find out more about enrollment opportunities. Area students will enjoy classes in the new satellite campus Aug. 23 when the fall semester begins.
“We are proud to be part of the growing City of Pearland, and we look forward to celebrating with the community,” says UH-Clear Lake Director of Alumni and Community Relations Charity Ellis. “This is an historic event for not only UH-Clear Lake, but also the City of Pearland.”
Parking for the event will be available at the Target parking lot located at 8503 S. Sam Houston East Parkway, Houston. Free shuttles will run continuously between Target and the UHCL Pearland Campus starting at 9:15 a.m.
