Thomas Fielding Hill, IIIThomas Fielding Hill, III age 43 formerly of Galveston passed from this life into his heavenly home, Saturday, July 31, 2010 at his home in Mexia, Texas. Funeral services are 12:00 noon Thursday, August 5, 2010 at The Island Church in Galveston, Pastor Rusty Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock under the direction of Carnes Brothers Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Tommy was born June 6, 1967 in Houston, Texas. He worked most of his life as a deckhand on the fishing boats of Galveston. He had a love for his family and Galveston that would not quit. His family really was everything to him, although time with him was short in this life. He is at peace with God in heaven because he believed on and accepted the free gift of salvation that his lord and savior Jesus Christ provided.

Preceded in death by father, Thomas Fielding Hill, Jr., and his grandparents, Thomas and Elizabeth Hill of Dallas and Peter and Florine Sapio of Galveston, survivors include his mother, Sandra Sapio Walker and husband Raymond of Texas City; sons, Joseph Thomas Hill and his mother, Gwen Swindale of Webster, and Thomas Joseph Hill of California; brothers, Danny Hill and wife Patty of Texas City, and Brent Walker of League City; sister, Brandy Walker of Houston; uncles, Peter Sapio and wife Cindy of Galveston, Ronald Sapio and wife Cynthia of Spring, and Steven Sapio and wife Stacy of Spring; numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers are Brent Walker, Joseph Hill, Danny Hill, Steven Sapio, Jeff Pucciarello, and Adrian Flores.
