Jeanne  GuidryFuneral services will be held Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Mrs. Andrus P. Guidry, age 88, the former Jeanne Benoit, who passed away Monday, August 2, 2010 at 9:14 p.m. at her son’s home in Lafayette.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette. The Rev. Kenny Talbot, pastor of New Beginnings Fellowship Church in Breaux Bridge, will officiate at the services.

Mrs. Guidry was a native of Breaux Bridge and a resident of Lafayette since 1946. She was the owner and operator of Guidry’s Auto Repair in Lafayette. Mrs. Guidry was a parishioner of Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Lafayette.

Survivors include her husband of seventy years, Andrus P. Guidry of Lafayette; two sons, Gerald Guidry and his wife, Dellie, of Lafayette and Randy Guidry and his wife, Brenda, of Scott; one daughter, Linda G. Allemand and her husband, Ken, of Lafayette; eight grandchildren, Jerry Guidry and his wife, Sharon, Brian Guidry and his wife, Rhonda Lynne, Kasie B. Sziy and her husband, Kelly, Angeline A. Thibault and her husband, Graham, Jamie B. Talbot and her husband, Kenny, Nicholas Allemand, Angie G. Jens and her husband, Barret, and Kristen Guidry; fourteen great grandchildren; three brothers, Felix Benoit and his wife, Beth, of Las Vegas, NV, James Benoit and his wife, Anna Grace, of Lafayette and Harris Benoit and his wife, Melba, of Crossville, TN; and one sister, Mary B. Latiolais of Breaux Bridge.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clinton Benoit and the former Regina Trosclair; two grandchildren, Rhonda Guidry and Katie Broussard; seven brothers, Wilfred Benoit, Roland Benoit, Emery Benoit, Kinney Benoit, Adley Benoit, Fernest Benoit and Steve Benoit; and one sister, Lunia B. Cormier.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until service time on Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Kenny Talbot, Kelly Sziy, Jerry Guidry, Brian Guidry, Nicholas Allemand and Ken Allemand.
