Carnes Brothers Funeral Home

Inez Marie CadeInez Marie Cade age 81 of Irving died Monday, August 9, 2010 at Baylor Irving Hospital in Irving, Texas. Funeral services are 11:00 am Monday, August 16, 2010 at St. John’s Baptist Church, Reverend Louis Simpson officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Galveston under the direction of Carnes Brothers Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Sunrise December 23, 1928 sunset August 9, 2010, Inez Marie Seale was born in Jasper County, Texas to Henry Seale Sr. and Mellow Reed Seale. She was the third child born to this union. Inez was a gifted basketball player at Jack H. Rowe High School, where she graduated at the tender age of 16 years. Prior to moving to Galveston, she was wooed and pursued by her husband of thirty eight years, Troy "Top Cat" Cade. Inez left Jasper with her husband and two children, Cathy Lynn; first born and first to leave the family's embrace, and Troy S., first born son. Inez was a Certified Nursing Assistant at St. Mary’s Hospital in Galveston retiring after 31 years of service.

Mrs. Cade was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Troy and her elder daughter Cathy Lynn Creamer, brothers Grady and Garfield, sisters, Irma Seale and Charcy Thomas. 

Survivors include her sons Troy S. Cade of Alvin, TX and wife Pamela, Melvin Cade and wife Charlene and Valarie Ann Cade Tummings and Husband Norbert. Her surviving siblings Marlon Seale and Henry Seale Jr. ; grandchildren, Eldrick Creamer and wife Tammie, Lloyd, Raynelle and Malik Cade, Malarie and Malcolm Tummings;  numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends mourning on her behalf.
