Richard Rico “Flipper” Ramos age 50 of Tyler died unexpectedly Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at his residence in Tyler. The family will receive visitors at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Monday with services starting at 7:00 pm, Pastor Samuel Alvarado officiating.
Richard was born March 1, 1960 in Galveston to John Ramos, Sr. and Isabel McCoy Ramos. He was a carpenter and handy man by trade and loved dearly by his family and friends.
He was predeceased by his mother, Isabel (Chavela) Ramos and his father, John Ramos, Sr. and a brother Stephen Porres. Survivors include his two children, Richard Martinez and Holly Renee Ramos as well as his sisters, Pauline Rios (Jimmy) of Texas City, Texas and Juanita Bowman (Gordon) of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and one brother Johnny Ramos, Jr. (Vera) of Galveston, Texas, as well as numerous nieces and nephews from Texas and Canada, cousins, uncle and friends.
Almighty God, you love everything you have made and judge us with infinite mercy and justice. We rejoice in your promises of pardon, joy and peace to all those who love you. In your mercy turn the darkness of death into the dawn of new life, and the sorrow of parting into the joy of heaven; through our Savior Jesus Christ, who died, rose again, and lives for evermore. Amen.
