HITCHCOCK-Jimmy N. Collins, 52, departed this earthly life on Tuesday, August 24, 2010, at his residence.
Jimmy was born December 23, 1957, in Liberty, Texas to Herbert and Eula Mae Collins. He attended Cleveland High School and was employed with Baywood Food Store in Hitchcock. Jimmy enjoyed watching sports, and was an avid Cowboys and Lakers fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and leaves to cherish precious memories, a devoted brother, Gene McGowen, Sr. and wife, Frankie of Hitchcock; nephews, Gene, Jr. and Marcus McGowen; nieces, Darcie McGowen and Dereon Johnson; special friends, Michael Thibodeaux and family; extended family, R.C. Williams and family, Samuel C. Boyd and family and the Dorsey family.
Visitation will begin at 9AM Saturday, August 28, 2010, followed by service celebrating his life at 11:00 AM at Jerusalem Baptist Church, with Pastor A.S. Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Grace Memorial Park.
