Lisa Michelle Black LazareLisa Michelle Black Lazare 43, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Sunday morning, August 29, 2010.  She was a faithful member of Compton Memorial COGIC Church, who shared God's Blessings with everyone.  She attended GISD and graduated from Ball High School, with the class of 1985.  She received a CNA Certificate at Galveston College.  She was employed at UTMB Hospital for almost 20 years before becoming a Correctional Officer with TDCJ.

Lisa was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clarence and Annie Mae Graves, and  Jeanette Russell.  She turned and left behind the true love of her life, daughter, Miss Jasmine Zachary; parents, Darnell and Lena Black; daughter, Shawn'te Lane; grandchildren, Marvin Brown, Sharve Lane, Sarahji Ja'Lisa Fisher; brothers, Larry Black, Derrick Black; a loving and devoted friend, Roger Alfred (Shorty); her girls Tonya Rose (Oneil), Jackie Clemons, Louise Lewis (Lacy), Kim Woods; husband, Michael Lazare; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 9AM on Saturday, September 4, 2010, at Ave L Baptist Church, E. R Johnson, Pastor, followed by a Homegoing Celebration at 11:00 AM with Elder Robert E. Woodard III officiating.  Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
