Shirley Fay Owens-JeffersonShirley Fay Owens-Jefferson, 60,  departed this life on Monday, September 6, 2010, at the Harborview Nursing Facility. 

Shirley was born, November 25, 1949, in Galveston, Texas.  She was a 1968 graduate of Central High School and also a member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Morris, Sr.; mother, Mamie Morris; sister, Brenda J. Owens, and son, Kenneth D. Owens, Sr.

She leaves with cherished memories, daughter, Kimberly R. Mason (Charles, Sr.); brother , Edward Morris, Jr. (Valarie); grandchildren, Markus R. Frank, Kristal D. Owens, Kenneth Owens, Jr., Charles Mason, Jr., Charris Mason, Chelsi Mason; aunts, Nellie M. Jones, Grace Evans, and a host of other relatives and friends.  Special thanks to Dr. Michelle Luna and A Med Hospice Care Team, and her caregiver, Latoya.

A visitation will begin at 12 Noon on Saturday, September 11, 2010, followed by a home going celebration at 1:00pm at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church (2728 Avenue K) with Pastor Dexter Henderson, officiating.
