Charles “Charlie” Castro Pena
Malloy & Son Funeral Home

Charles “Charlie” Castro Pena, 63, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2010, in La Marque, TX.  He was born September 25, 1947, in Galveston, TX.  He worked for many years as a supervisor in the mail room at American Indemnity Insurance Company, but his greatest love was being with his family.  Charlie was a loving and devoted caregiver for his mother and will be remembered for being helpful and friendly to all he met.

Charlie was preceded in death by his father, Julian Pena, and brother, Gilbert Pena.

He is survived by his mother, Tomasa Pena, of La Marque; sisters, Angelina Stevens and Dominga Reyna and husband, Alexander, all of Galveston; and Annie Pena, of Houston; brothers, Joe Pena and Robert (Rocco) Pena and wife, Belinda, all of Galveston; and Henry (Rick) Pena and wife, Jean, of Houston; and 17 nieces and nephews.

His family will receive visitors after 5:00 pm, Wednesday, October 13th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home.  A rosary will conclude the evening at 7:00 pm.

Funeral Mass will be 1:00 pm, Thursday, October 14th, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Arthur Stevens, III, Alex Reyna, Jr., Matthew Reyna, Ricky Pena, Jr., Michael Pena, and David Ovalle.  Honorary pallbearers will be Carlos Mata and Robert Quiroga.
