The Hitchcock Independent School District Board of Trustees on Tuesday voted unanimously to nominate Shirley Price as representative and Dianne James as alternate to the 2011 Houston-Galveston Area Council.

The school board voted to appoint James as the board’s liaison to the Kids First Head Start Program.

The school board voted to approve a contract with the City of Hitchcock to conduct joint elections in May 2011. The school district and city will share the costs of election equipment and other expenses. The Hitchcock City Commission approved the contract during a meeting on Monday.

The school board voted to approve a lease agreement with the City of Hitchcock for the lease of property located at 8004 North Railroad in Hitchcock.  The district's board room and conference facility is located at the address.

All items were approved. All votes were unanimous with Trustee Estelle Holmes absent.  Agenda
