Bridgette Renee Simpson

Bridgette Renee SimpsonGod called home one of His precious children, Bridgette Renee Simpson on Friday, October 15, 2010.  On July 29, 1965, God allowed His child, Bridgette Renee to enter this world through the parents of Mr. and Mrs. Jewel Samuel Simpson, Jr., of Galveston, TX.  Bridgette was the sixth of eight children born into this family.  She graduated from Ball High School with the class of 1983.  After graduating she worked in the field of Retail and Sales for over twenty years.  She loved to laugh and she shared her laughter with everyone she met.  She had a passion for life, family, and good friends.   We thank and praise God for sharing His heavenly child; our earthly - daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and special friend with us.

Bridgette was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Boulet Sr., Rev. and Mrs. Jewel S. Simpson Sr.; brother, Jewel S. Simpson III; nieces, Piag'et M. Copeland, Leah Samone Simpson; cousin, Patrick O'Neil Bailey.  She leaves to cherish the memories of her life, parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jewel S. Simpson Jr.; siblings, Durand Simpson (Sharon), Sandra Fontenette (Richard), Michelle Copeland (Albert), Lionel Simpson (Linda), Kerry Simpson, Pamela Hawkins (Dezra); a host of nieces, nephews, on great nephew, aunts, uncles, cousins; a special cousin, Patricia Filer, devoted friends, Jerry Coleman, Janelle Brown, and co-workers at Macy's Department Store in the Galleria, downtown Houston.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2010, at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Fields-Johnson Family Mortuary in Galveston.  Pastor A.W. Colbert of the Macedonia Baptist Church will be officiating.  In respect of our loved one wishes, there will be no viewing or visitation.  All flowers and cards may be sent to Fields-Johnson Family Mortuary at 3828 Avenue O, Galveston, Texas 77550.
