Irma Adell Lawson

Irma Adell Lawson, 92, passed away Friday, October 22, 2010, in a nursing home in Copperas Cove, TX.  She was born March 12, 1918 in Galveston and was a resident of Beaumont from 1949 to 1966.  She returned to Galveston and worked as a bookkeeper for American National Insurance and later for Texas Gulf Construction Company, retiring in 1977. 

 

Irma is survived by her niece, Sandra Jean Childs of Kempner, TX; and sister-in-law, Lily Lawson of Copperas Cove, TX; and several great nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Irna Lawson, and brother, William R. Lawson.

 

Graveside services will be 10:00 am Friday, October 29th, at Oleander Cemetery in Galveston with Pastor John Allums officiating.
