Anne Catherine Greffin Gluski

Anne Catherine Greffin GluskiAnne Catherine Greffin Gluski, 66, of Tiki Island, passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2010, at UTMB Hospital.  She was born October 17, 1944 in New York City, NY and graduated from the University of Copenhagen in Copenhagen, Denmark with a degree in Psychology.  After graduation, Anne became a flight attendant for TWA and also modeled for magazines and brochures.  She married Kenneth Gluski and became a homemaker, raising their son, Christopher.  Anne became involved with several organizations at Sacred Heart Church and was also an avid participant in aerobics and kickboxing.  She loved snow skiing and swimming and traveling with her husband to the Texas Hill Country, but perhaps her greatest joy was in spending time with her twin granddaughters, Brionna and Olivia.

Anne was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ann Greffin.  She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Kenneth Gluski; son, Christopher Gluski and wife Alison; granddaughters, Brionna and Olivia Gluski; sisters, Madeleine Melenyk and husband, Michael Stevens; Teresa Walters; and Julie Greffin; and brother, Joseph Greffin and wife, Lenora.

Anne’s family will receive visitors after 5:00 pm, Monday, November 1st, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home.  A vigil service will be held at 6:30 pm, led by Deacon Henry Herrera.

Funeral Mass will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, November 2nd, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father EJ Stein as Celebrant.  Burial will follow the services at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Michael Stevens, Michael Alaniz, and Andrew Daniels.  Honorary pallbearers will be Christopher and Jonathon Alaniz.

Memorials may be made in Anne’s name to the American Cancer Society.
