Santa Fe High School cordially invites the public to attend our annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Thursday, November 11th, 2010 at 9:30 am. Weather permitting, the ceremony will be held in Joe Raitano Stadium. The ceremony will be relocated to the gym if inclimate weather arises.
This ceremony is a way to thank living veterans for their service, to acknowledge that their contributions to our national security are appreciated, and to underscore the fact that all those who served - not only those who died - have sacrificed and done their duty.
The ceremony will include the approved landing of a CH-47 Chinook Helicopter flown by the US Army, participation by the US Marines Color Guard, an US Army Chaplain conducting the Invocation and Oath of Enlistment for future soldiers from SFHS that have enlisted in the armed forces. Most importantly, we want to recognize all current service men, women and veterans. Land and air assets provided by the different branches of service and will be available for viewing after the ceremony throughout the day.
On this day, we will pay appropriate homage to the veterans of all its wars who have contributed so much to the preservation of our Nation. Please join us!
