Joe Nathan Warner
Fields-Johnson Family Mortuary

Joe Nathan WarnerJoe Nathan Warner, 60, a beloved husband, father and papa, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Joe was born on September 13, 1950, in Galveston. He graduated from Central High school, after which he served in the U S Navy. Joe returned home and was employed with Galveston County for over 25 years. After ten years of retirement, he went back to work with the Galveston Independent School District.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert, Sr. and Eddie Mae Wagner Warner; son, David Allen; and brother, James Warner.

He leaves behind to share in precious memories, his devoted wife of 40 years, Doris Ann Warner; two wonderful daughters, Barbara (Shawn) Parish and Erica (Henri) Warner; granddaughter, Bryanna Annalise; six grandsons, Brandon, Dylan, Enrique(Tre’), Nathan, Zachary and Joshua; brothers, Edward Warner, Elbert (Pamela) Warner Jr., and Michael (Cindy)Warner ; sisters, Lydia Mack and Barbara(Vernon) Doyle; along with a wonderful host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will begin at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, November 4th, followed by a service of remembrance at 7:00 pm. in the chapel of Fields-Johnson Family Mortuary with Rev. Freddie Hall officiating.

The family would like to sincerely thank the staff of UTMB, with a special thanks to Dr. Hatch and Dr Abdulla.
