Texas City will kick off a 10-month centennial celebration on New Year’s Eve
Texas City – The City of Texas City sold its first New Year’s Eve party ticket to lifetime Texas City resident Thelma Dyess, who also will turn 100 in the year 2011. The New Year’s Eve event will be one of the very first activities for the 10-month Centennial Celebration that will culminate the weekend of September 16-18, 2011.
The New Year’s Eve celebration is open to the public. It begins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, December 31 at the Doyle Convention Center in Texas City. Tickets are $50 per person and include dinner, dancing and entertainment by Nik and the Nice Guys.
